Verified ReviewerClosing after I made a payment towards zeroing out balance
I made a payment of 124, half of what I owed, and they closed my account. I paid my balance for this month, and I hope they shut down completely because I was having money problems.
I don't recommend this company to anyone, and I have been with them for over 5 years. So, you have forever lost a customer.
I hope you are happy with yourself. Good riddance.

Verified Buyer |Lost card in the mail and no response
I deposited $500 in my new card and was waiting to receive it by mail. It never arrived, and First Progress has not given me any assistance with this situation.
They answer via email and replay to call 866-706-**** and the phone is disconnected. I would like a refund or a response to fix this and receive my card.

Stuck on side of road emergency
I explained that I needed her assistance that I was stuck on the side of the road that I had a dead battery to my phone that I was in dire need of making a payment that could she may be transfer me or in someway help me no she couldnt even give me the phone number that I needed to call in an emergency now meanwhile to get me to the proper department because she couldnt help me Ive been with this credit card company for 10 years and I mean absolutely so disappointed. Yeah, my kid is stuck also upstate.
Her car broke down. Im trying to get to her so trying to rent a car and I had just moved so I had forgotten to make a payment on my credit card because I didnt get the bill because I moved so Im $70.
I need to make a payment on my credit card in order to run a vehicle But Miss Chloe there couldnt help me and couldnt transfer me. Couldnt give me the number did absolutely nothing for me from First Progress credit card dont she just bite the big one so stay away from First Progress cause they do absolutely nothing you make the payment they charge you for a late fee every month the credit card company really sucks

My online account has not been functioning for days! I called customer service on 9/14 and was told it would take 24 hours to be back up and running.
It is now 9/18 and I still can't log in to my account. The customer service representative told me I just have to wait. She had no explanation, no one she could escalate the call to.
Nothing. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Not a great way to build credit, I tried multiple times to get a hold of someone when having difficulty paying online and setting up autopay, just to be redirected over and over again to another recording. This caused the account to be closed and 4 fees of $41 which is the balance that is on my account and they keep reporting me to the credit bureaus.
When I disputed it, they sent me a letter with my charges.
I am a single mom to a young child with Down syndrome. I am trying to improve my credit after a bad divorce and instead of helping me, they just keep hurting me further.

First Progress's priority is to provide customers with documents, which is not a problem, but it is difficult to get them to provide you with proof of correspondence or documentation from them when you request it. Poor customer service. Poor correspondence.
Preferred solution: Email correspondence of status.

Every time you speak to someone, they have a different scenario as to how something happened; NOBODY is on the same page. I was told that although my acct is current and my card is expired, I cannot get a new card until I pay $4.00 thats over balance- DUE TO THE ANNUAL FEE BEING TAKEN OUT. When you ask to have the call escalated, youre told theyre unable to do that and when asking for employee ID to file a complaint, youre told theyre not allowed to give that information out.
Absolutely poor customer service, absolutely poor.

It doesn't take that long to do anything! You get charged 3 late fees before you even get the card!
Then there's no information for you to collect the info needed to make a payment! And there's not a way for you to sign into the online portal unless you have received the card! One guy I talked to told me they couldn't reverse late fees, which is a lie because how can you charge me fees for a card I haven't been using? I took the initial fee on the chin, but NO MORE!!
This stops now! Either send those approvals and cards out or stop accepting our deposits!
Don't take your damn time just because you can!! Foolishness!

I just received a credit alert stating that I have an account with you guys and I owe a balance of $29.99 any account I had with you guys was closed out some time ago, I see no reason why this is happening I also have paperwork stating that my account was closed out can this problem be rectified asap thank you

That is the worst credit card anybody could ever get you send in your payment and it takes up to 10 business days for it to post your account knowingly that they have already cashed that money order that check or took it out of your bank account and they still have not put on your account but you still have to wait that 10 business days for it to clear your account do not use this credit card
